Odor control treatments are an effective solution as they enable us to wash less and at lower temperatures without compromising on comfort and hygiene. Having this in mind, Devan has developed a non-biocidal odor control solution named Devan Fresh NTL, which makes you stay fresh and clean for longer.
This finish technology is based on natural biopolymer ingredients and doesn’t influence the wicking properties, enhancing breathability during high-intensity activities.

In the field of sportswear and performance apparel, effective odor management is essential to ensure long-lasting freshness and comfort. During
physical activity, perspiration creates an environment in which odor-causing compounds can develop and accumulate within textile structures. Among
the most relevant contributors to sweat-related malodor are amines such as ammonia and short-chain fatty acids including acetic acid (AA) and isovaleric acid (IVA).
We have obtained good odor reduction performance with Devan Fresh NTL against Acetic acid (AA) and Ammonia (AM) following the ISO 17299-2. These
two components were chosen as representatives of acid and amine component of sweat. In house, we use an adaptation of the ISO 17299-2 modified.
